Opportunity to submit to a new journal collection entitled “Digitalisation in the Post-Pandemic Era”

Updated: Jan 13, 2023

The academic journal Humanities & Social Sciences Communications is seeking submissions for a new collection entitled, “Digitalisation in the Post-Pandemic Era: Sustainability, Inequality and Politics.”

Submissions are welcomed at any point until September 2023. Papers will be published on a rolling basis. You can learn more about this collection from the call for papers. The journal welcomes a range of perspectives including theoretical, methodological, quantitative and qualitative studies. Original Research and Review Papers are being accepted.

Guidelines

Peer review will commence whenever a paper is submitted, whether before or by the cut-off date mentioned in the call for papers. Those papers accepted for publication will be published on the relevant dedicated collection page on a continuous basis — meaning none of the delays to publication that are sometimes associated with traditional ‘special issues.’

All submitted papers are subject to the journal’s standard peer review process, which includes double-blind peer review by independent academics. Papers will be assessed against the journal’s criteria for publication.

About the journal

Humanities & Social Sciences Communications is a fully open-access, online journal publishing peer-reviewed research from across—and between—all areas of the humanities, behavioral, and social sciences. It operated from January 2015 until June 2020 under the name Palgrave Communications. You can find out more about the journal here and in this short video.

Open access policy

The journal levies an article processing charge on papers accepted for publication. Authors who lack funding to cover open access publication from either their funder or institution should contact the journal at hsscomms@springernature.com prior to submission to discuss options.

If you have any questions about this opportunity, please contact Qinglong Shao, Guest Editor for this new collection. Their email is qinglong.shao@springernature.com.
